Well Hello There!

It's good to see you. I'm Hannah, and I'm just here to write.

I've been writing ever since I was little and I'm lucky enough to do it semi-professionally as an adult. I'm trying to learn and grow as a person, but there's always a lot on my mind and sometimes it's hard for me to handle my problems and emotions. All throughout my life, people have suggested that I go to my 'happy place' when trying to get through a tough situation.

So I decided to make my own.

If I could craft it out of nothing with my bare hands and shape it however I wanted, my happy place would be one close to the sea with flowers blooming all around me. The smell of saltwater and something delicious would always be wafting through the air, and it would only be a short walk to find myself lost in the woodlands where springs are mild and winters are blanketed with delicate snowdrifts. Everyone I love would always be close by, as would the opportunity for me to be alone with myself. And of course, there'd be cats and dogs. They'd all be fed and well-cared for and all of them would be friendly.

In short, it would be a place of sunshine.

That's why I'm here; this is my happy place, and I intend to fill it with the many things that bring me joy. If you stick around and sift through what's here, chances are you'll find all kinds of treasures, like:

• Recipes (lots and lots of those)
• Snippets of the many stories I write with the intent of finishing and publishing but the lack of ambition to actually finish and publish
• Pieces of creative writing, just for fun
• Commentary about my life, work and family
• Pictures of things and people I adore
• Maybe even a little poetry and music

• Reflections on everything I'm going through and learning
• Bulleted lists
• Attempts at humor
• Questions and prompts for you, because I'd love for you to join in the fun

I don't know who you are or why you're here, but that's okay. If you want to tell me, I'd love to know. If you'd rather not, no need. Whether you found this place on purpose or stumbled on it by accident; whether you're intentionally following me or just looking for something to pass the time, I'm just glad you came here today.
